Heather Haley is an American Emmy Award-winning meteorologist and is currently the Chief Meteorologist for WVLT News. Haley was born and raised in Knoxville, and she is currently proud to work in her hometown.
Heather attended Farragut High School, and then joined the University of Tennessee where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Haley then went back to school to pursue meteorology and got her second bachelor’s degree via the online program from Mississippi State University.
Hailey joined WVLT in May 2008 as a meteorologist and news reporter after spending two years at WYMT in Hazard, Kentucky. Eventually, she was made the station’s chief meteorologist in April 2019 to replace longtime chief meteorologist David Aldrich, who announced his departure a week prior.
