Kimberly Guilfoyle is an American television personality who served as an advisor to the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. Before this, she served as an assistant district attorney in San Francisco from 2000 to 2004.
Born in San Francisco, she graduated from San Francisco’s Mercy High School. Later on, she attended the University of California, Davis, and received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1994. While in Law School, Kimberly interned at the San Fransisco district attorney’s office and modeled for Macy’s and a bridal magazine. She also taught in a public school district and briefly worked as a prosecutor in San Francisco. However, she lost her job in 1996 when Terence Hallinan was elected district attorney and fired from the city’s prosecutors.
After this, she spent four years in Los Angeles as a deputy district attorney, working on adult and juvenile cases. Due to her commendable work, she has won several awards at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, including Prosecutor of the Month.

In 2000, she was rehired by Hallinan in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, where she served as an assistant district attorney from 2004 to 2005. She also obtained a conviction while co-prosecuting with James Hammer in the 2002 case People v. Noel and Knoller, a second-degree murder trial involving a dog mauling that received international attention.
About her television career, in January 2004, she moved to New York to host the program Both Sides on Court TV. Later on, in February 2006, she joined Fox News as host of the weekend show The Lineup. However, The Lineup was canceled. She remained a regular contributor to the network and was later picked up as a co-host of The Five in 2011. Kimberly remained on the show as a host until 2018.
She also appeared weekly on the recurring segment “Is It Legal?” on The O’Reilly Factor until its cancellation in 2017. In mid-2017, she signed a long-term contract with Fox. A year later, she abruptly left Fox News and began working for a pro-Donald Trump super PAC. In addition, it was reported that she was being considered to serve as press secretary for President Donald Trump in December 2016.
