Steve Horstmeyer is an American veteran meteorologist who was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is currently working as a chief meteorologist at Fox 19. He began his career as a math teacher for Cincinnati Public Schools, but it wasn’t long before he moved on to television as a meteorologist and reporter.
Horstmeyer grew up in Cincinnati and went to Moeller High School. Later on, he joined Miami University, Oxford, and graduated with a Master’s degree in Geography with an emphasis in meteorology from the University of Nebraska. In addition, he has received the American Meteorological Society seal for both television and radio broadcasts.
Presently, he serves as an occasional adjunct instructor in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Mount St. Joseph. He has also taught at the University of Cincinnati and Miami University.
