Lisa Bonet is a famous American actress who is best known for role-playing Denise Huxtable on ‘The Cosby Show’. In 1995, she changed her name officially to Lilakoi Moon.
Lisa recalls her better part of life in New York and Los Angeles. She joined Reseda High School and later Celluloid Actor’s Studio. Her parents divorced when she was still young. However, she started acting at the age of 11, landing the role of Denise Huxtable in the hit comedy series, The Cosby Show (1984).
In the mid-’80s, Lisa met Lenny Kravitz, an unknown musician who went by the name, Romeo Blue, at the New Edition concert in Los Angeles. The two later fell in love, marrying in 1987. In 1989, Lenny landed a record deal for his first album, ‘Let Love Rule’. Lisa was a co-writer of several songs in the album and an inspiration to the entire album. She even directed the first video of the album, ‘Let Love Rule’.
In 1987, Lisa quit The Cosby Show. However, with the help of Bill Cosby, she landed in another amazing comedy series, A Different World. On the other hand, she set her sights high on the big screen, taking the sexually racy role of the Epiphany Proudfoot in the horror flick, Angel Heart, alongside Mickey Rourke.
To promote the film, she went limitless for the interview magazine, responding to the notion of maintaining the entire image that she had built on The Cosby Show.
Among her other greater undertakings, Bonet featured in Enemy of the State (1998), High Fidelity (2000), Biker Boyz (2003), Whitepaddy (2006), and the TV program Life on Mars (2008). All the more as of late, she guest featured on her better half, Jason Momoa’s Sundance TV series, The Red Road in 2014, and Showtime’s Ray Donovan in 2016.
