Aaron Maybin Biography
Aaron Maybin is an experienced American journalist who currently covers breaking, feature, and general assignment stories for FOX6 News. He joined the station in 2018. Maybin went to Oak Creek high school and later graduated from Marquette University with a B.A. in journalism.
During his time on FOX6, Maybin has reported on vaccine rollout, the COVID-19 pandemic, and protests following the death of George Floyd. He also played a key role in covering the homicide trial of Kyle Rittenhouse and the Waukesha Christmas parade disaster.
Aaron’s writing and in-depth field reporting have garnered him 7 Emmy nominations. In 2021, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association honored him with Best Live On-Scene Reporting.
Before joining FOX6 News, Maybin worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WCSC-TV in Charleston, South Carolina. While there, he followed big stories like the federal trial of Emanuel AME Church shooter Dylann Roof; South Carolina’s “1000-year” flood; and Hurricanes Irma and Matthew. He also interviewed first lady Jill Biden.
Moreover, Maybin loves giving back by assisting student journalists to get their foot in the door. He is a member of Marquette University’s Board for Student Media. In his spare time, you can find Maybin speaking at local schools, running, volunteering, and enjoying the outdoors.
