Alejandro Aranda is an American singer, musician, and television reality personality from Pomona, California, United States. He was in the runner-up on season 17 of American idol. In this impression, he impressed the judges with his good singing skills and managed to win the golden ticket to Hollywood during his first audition.
The judges and audiences have ruled that his audition as one of the best auditions in the history of the American Idol.
Aranda grew up in Pomona where he was homeschooled. He also worked as a dishwasher until he was 20 and started singing and playing guitar in the street, under the stage name Scarypoolparty.
He further progressed to impress more high profile personalities like the kind of Aranda continued to impress the likes of Luke Bryan and Katy Perry during the competitive rounds of the show.

During his audition on American Idol, Alejandro surprised the judges with an original song called “Out Loud”.
Judge Lionel was on his feet appreciating him right after he was done the singing. Lionel quoted “You my friend, are so talented. I am so inspired.”
Judge Luke Bryan jumped in saying, “I just feel like I’m in the presence of greatness. I’m so glad you are here. It was like watching my favorite movie that I did not want to end.”
Judge Katy Perry also joined in on the glory saying, “I think you’re really special. I think you’re an absolute genius.”
“You have such a career,” Richie exclaimed. “And the fact that you don’t know it makes it even more special. There’s nothing like you my friend.”
