Aliyah Boston is an American College basketball player for the South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference. She plays the power forward and center positions in her team. In her sophomore year, Aliyah picked up National Player of the Year honors from The Athletic and was a unanimous First-Team All-American.
Boston was born in Saint Thomas, the United States Virgin Islands. She then attended Worcester Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts where she was a McDonald’s All-American and three-time Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year. She has also won several gold medals representing the United States of America.

On November 5, 2019, Boston recorded the first triple-double by a freshman in program history and the first by any NCAA Division I player in her career debut against Alabama State, including a school-record-tying 10 blocks. Boston contributed to the Gamecocks’ early-season road win at No. 4 Maryland, scoring eight of the team’s first ten points and blocking five shots in the first quarter.
Additionally, Boston won the Reef division MVP award at the Paradise Jam after scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in a tournament-clinching win over No. 2 Baylor. He had her eighth double-double of the season on January 20, finishing with 12 rebounds and 21 points on a win over No. 9 Mississippi State. Boston contributed significantly to the No. 1 Gamecocks’ first-ever victory over the UConn Huskies on February 10, recording her tenth double-double of the season.
Boston blocked five shots against LSU to become the program’s all-time freshman block leader in a win. The SEC regular season would be completed by Boston. As the No. 1 Gamecocks (32-1) swept the SEC regular-season and tournament championships, he averaged a double-double (13.1 ppg/10.3 RPG).
