Anne Heche is an American actress, screenwriter, and director, best known for Six Days Seven Nights (1998), Donnie Brasco (1997), and Wag the Dog (1997). She made her debut in the entertainment industry with a daytime soap opera named ‘Another World’.

Heche started her career on the Soapopera, Another World where she is currently famous for starring in the series ‘Men in Trees’. She made her debut film in 1993 after featuring in; An Ambush of Ghosts. However, she always credits her role in Donnie Brasco for bringing her significant attention to her career.

In the year 2004, Anne was nominated for her first primetime Emmy Award for Gracie’s Choice 2004. Later in 2006, she had her own series, Men in Trees which made her a known figure in the field of acting.

Born and raised in Aurora, Ohio, United States of America, Anne grew up in a conservative religious household. Her father died of AIDS when she was just 12 years of age, leaving the family in a tough economic state. To assist her family in making ends meet, Anne started acting at a dinner theatre in New Jersey. However, the family later relocated to Chicago.

It was while in high school when Heche had her first break when a talent scout spotted her in a school production. Immediately after her graduation, Anne moved to New York City to work on the daytime drama; Another World. On this show, she played twins Marley and Vicky Hudson who had different personalities. In 1991, she won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on the show.

Transitioning to the big screens, Anne featured in the 1993’s An Ambush of Ghosts. In 1997, she landed a role in the film Donnie Brasco, playing the wife of an undercover FBI agent Johnny Depp. Her performance in the film earned her both critical and commercial acclaim.

While there were some speculations about her career coming to an end, Anne went on shining. She featured as a lawyer in Return to Paradise with Vince Vaughn. The duo worked together once more on Gus Van Zant’s remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic Psycho.

In 2004, Heche made a return to small screen films later receiving her first primetime Emmy Award nomination for her work on the film Gracie’s choice. After getting her own series, Men in Trees in 2006, Anne started modeling her own character. She steadily continued pushing on featuring in films like Cedar Rapids in 2011, and Catfight in 2017.

Anne starred in the HBO series Hung from 200-2011. This led her to a lead role in the short-lived series Save Me and Aftermath. In 2017, she started featuring in the NBC military drama, The Brave.
