Bonnie Silkman is an American journalist currently working as a news anchor and reporter at FOX 12 News Channel in Portland, Oregon. She anchors the 5 am, 8 am, 9 am, and 11 O’clock News during weekdays on FOX 12. Before joining FOX 12 Oregon in November of 2013, Silkman worked at KRDO-TV, an ABC-affiliated television station located in Colorado Springs, Colorado as a weekend anchor and morning reporter.
While in KRDO-TV, Bonnie was the anchor of the Good Morning Colorado show Saturday and Sunday editions. In addition, she produced and wrote the morning shows at the station.
Moreover, Silkman also served at KJCT, a low-powered dual ABC and CW-affiliated television station in Grand Junction in Colorado, where she worked as a weekend anchor, reporter, and producer. Also, while there, Bonnie co-anchored the Good Morning show. As well, she wrote and produced the weekend morning shows. While in southern Colorado, she reported on very harsh weather conditions, homeless matters, floods, which helped her develop her own investigative reporting skills. Reporting in the swing state enabled Bonnie to cover various presidential candidate rallies, including some with the former U.S. President, Donald Trump.

Additionally, Silkman has also worked at Tavern Downtown in Denver, Colorado where she worked as a cocktail waitress and server. This led the bar to win the Best Sports Bar of the Year award back in 2011.
Before that, Bonnie worked as a marketing and communications coordinator at Frances Photography in Denver. She planned, designed, and executed marketing materials. Silkman also contacted wedding magazines and publications for submissions and brainstormed new advertising methods. She also created and photographed the annual valentine’s photoshoot.
