Brittney Shipp Biography
Brittney Shipp is an American meteorologist working for NBC10’s First Alert Weather Team, Currently, she forecasts weekday evenings. Prior to coming to NBC10, Brittney started her profession as a morning weekday weather reporter and features reporter at KYMA-TV in Yuma, Arizona.
She then relocated to work at KTVK-3TV in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was a weekend meteorologist and special assignment reporter. However, Brittney has worked as a fill-in weather anchor for four national morning shows: NBC’s Early Today, and MSNBC’s Morning Joe, First Look, and Way Too Early.
Shipp is a meteorologist for NBC10’s First Alert Weather Team. Currently, she lives forecasts weekday evenings. Brittney went back to NBC10 after spending two years as a Chief Meteorologist at KRON-TV in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, She is happy to be back serving in the Greater Philadelphia area and making an impact on the community.

A two-time Emmy nominated journalist, Brittney received a bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also received a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Having combined her passion for children’s education and meteorology, Brittney wrote and published the children’s book, The Meteorologist in Me. She has shared her book with over 35,000 students, including international audiences in Cuba and Australia.
