Candace Monacelli
Candace Monacelli is an American meteorologist currently working as the weekend morning meteorologist and reporter for the Fox17 News in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She joined the station back in June of 2017.
In addition, Monacelli covers various weather conditions throughout the four seasons in West Michigan and lifestyle programs for the morning news show.
Prior to joining FOX 7 News, Candace served as the weekend meteorologist and reporter for the NBC affiliate in Youngstown, Ohio. She was part of the WFMJ team where she shared daily weather stories, enjoying programs with new businesses around the Valley on the #1-morning show and making stories for daily newscast content. Moreover, while there, she had the chance to work with Candice Coleman on improving her voice and on-air style.
Monacelli interned at WOIO Cleveland 19, the CBS affiliate based in Cleveland, and also at WKYC Channel 3 News, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland. At Cleveland 19, she improved her skills by spending many hours out in the field with reporters and in the weather center.

Producers trusted her to cover stories and she conducted interviews on her own for the newscasts. Additionally, she was also on air with the weather crew for the 11 pm newscast.
At channel 13, Candace improved her weather skills on-air and forecasting abilities with many hours in the weather station working alongside Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling.
Regarding her education, Monacelli joined Kent State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in May 2015. Moreover, she completed the broadcast meteorology program from Mississippi State University in August of 2016 to become a certified meteorologist. While at Kent State University, Candace held several positions at the award-winning student-run television station, TV2.
