She grew up on a dairy farm in Ridott, Illinois where she discovered her fascination with weather. Candice went to Highland Community College in 2002 graduating with an Associate of Science Degree in Meteorology. Later on, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University in 2004.
Nevertheless, she bagged an honor the Distinguished Alumni Award in October 2012. She was also a nominee for Two Emmys and the Illinois Broadcasters Association’s Silver Dome Award. She also managed to certify Eyewitness News as a National Weather Service Storm Ready Supporter.
