Carlos Alvarez is an American journalist currently working as a fixture of FOX Deportes’ Major League Baseball coverage. He is also a play-by-play analyst and reporter for FOX Deportes since joining in 2015. In addition, he has appeared on numerous MLB World Series broadcasts, including Game 7 of the 2016 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians. He has been featured in numerous MLB World Series broadcasts.
Carlos also hosted and appeared on shows for Telefutura, Mundo FOX, and LATV. In his career, he has received several awards some of which include an Emmy Award for his coverage of the Rose Parade in 2007. Previously, he used to host shows on KLVE and Super Estrella and has currently hosted “El Cotorreo con Carlos Alvarez,” a daily syndicated radio show.
Born in Puerto Rico, he attended INTEC where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1989. Later on, he attended UCLA where he received Fundamentals of TV Journalism and Newswriting for Spanish News Media, Communication, and Media Studies in 2005.
