Cindy Farmer is a renowned American Emmy award-winning journalist and television personality currently working as the noon anchor at WGHP-TV, FOX 8 News. Prior to moving to FOX 8 News, she was a reporter for Good Evening Show on WFMY. Farmer works alongside Julie Grant, Kerry Charles, and Brad James.
A Virginia native, Cindy started he career in Roanoke, Virginia, at WSLS TV 10 while still a student. Immediately after graduation, she moved from Blacksburg to Roanoke and worked full-time for TV 10. As of August 1990, Farmer joined the Good Evening Show in Greensboro, based out of the studios of WFMY.
When the show was canceled in 1992, Cindy became part of the News 2 reporter team. In 1997, she joined FOX* News after the birth of her firstborn and has been with the station for over 20 years anchoring the FOX 8 Morning and Noon News and reporting each week on “What’s Right With Our Schools.”
