Courtney Friel is a renowned American news anchor and reporter currently working for KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, California, since joining the station in 2013. Before joining KTLA 5, Friel covered entertainment for Fox-owned and operated station KTTV in Los Angeles, and other local stations, as well as the Fox News Channel.
Before her move to move to Los Angeles, she was the entertainment reporter at Fox News Channel, contributing to various entertainment-related programs for the network’s website, FoxNews.com. Additionally, she was a frequent guest contributor on the Fox News late-night satire show, Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld.
Friel went to Methacton High School in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, while there, she made the televised morning announcements and was active in the school’s media production class. Later on, she joined San Diego State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
