Dion Lim is an Emmy award-winning journalist currently working as an anchor and reporter at KGO-TV, ABC7 News, an ABC affiliated stated based in San Francisco, California. She joined the station when the Covid-19 pandemic began. Prior to joining KGO, Dion worked as the 5/6/11 pm anchor at WTSP-10 News, the CBS affiliate in Tampa Bay.
Recently, Lim was named one of Broadcasting & Cable Magazine (B&C) 18 Top Leaders in TV Under 34. She is quite known for her energetic performance and her active community involvement as she can make 30 -40 community appearances per calendar year. In January 2021, Lim conducted a confrontational interview with Chesa Boudin, the San Francisco district attorney. During the interview, she questioned him about a fatal car rush caused by Troy McAlister. However, her reporting later was criticized when a crime victim and witness told the Washington Post she had provided them with incorrect information and pressured them to provide critical commentary on Boudin.
Lim started her journalism career in Springfield, Massachusetts after which she landed an anchor job in Kansas City.
