Gasia Mikaelian is an American journalist who is currently working as a lead anchor at KTVU in the Bay Area, California anchoring their Channel 2 News Program at 7 PM on most weeknights. She joined the station in 2005 and prior to this, she worked as a news anchor and reporter at KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas.
After graduating high school, she joined Las Positas College where she took classes in writing for two years. Mikaelian then studied at San Diego State University with the aim of becoming a radio broadcaster.
After graduating, she began her career at KWST in Yuma, Arizona. Mikaelian worked for one year as a reporter since joining the station in 1999. Prior to joining KWST, she got a job at WAFF where she reported all news from local news to sports. After a period of two years at WAFF, she headed to San Diego, where she joined XETV.
At last, her dream came true longing to be close to her family. Currently, she works as a news anchor at KTVU and is a Livemoregirl by heart. She likes supporting the community and is an active member of the community.
