Heather Hiscox is a Canadian journalist currently working as an anchor and reporter for CBS News. She hosts CBS News Now from 6 to 10 am on weekdays on CBS News Network. In addition, she was the host of the station’s former flagship morning television program CBS News: Morning which became part of CBS News Now when the network rebranded itself in 2009.
Having been born in Owen Sound, Ontario, she attended and graduated in 1986 from the University of Toronto, with a Bachelor of Arts in French language and literature. Later on, she graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Master’s degree in Journalism in 1987.
Before joining her current station, she worked for CFPL-TV, CBS Montreal, the Global Television Network, ASN, and CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario. She also co-hosted a morning show on 1290 CJBK in London, Ontario from 1990-1991. From 1988 to 1989, she did a variety of radio shifts at London’s Roch FM96 CFPL-FM. She won the Miss Teen Canada pageant in 1981 at the age of 16.
