Jennifer Delgado is an American broadcast meteorologist known for appearing as a freelance weathercaster for FOX 5 News WAGA-TV based in the Greater part of Atlanta. She also acts as a temporary fill-in for the station’s chief meteorologist on all shows. Before FOX 5 News, Delgado spent time working as a weather reporter and freelance meteorologist for CNN International Commercial from 2008 to 2013. She also appeared as a freelance meteorologist for WXIA News based in Atlanta since 2017.
Delgado was born and raised in the small town of St.Louis, Missouri. She grew up in a middle-class Latino-American household as the middle child in her family. Jennifer was fortunate enough to finish her high school studies at a private school situated in her hometown Missouri. She then enrolled at Webster University and earned her first Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Communication. Jennifer then advanced her studies at Mississippi State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences and broadcast meteorology.
Delgado began her career back in 2008 by joining CNN as a weathercaster and meteorologist. During her time with CNN, she became known for covering the latest hurricanes happening across the United States during different seasons. Delgado even analyzed different data from so many sources and produced her own weather reports at the station until her official departure back in 2013. She also covered other weather events like earthquakes and tornados while she was on CNN.
Jennifer then joined The Weather Channel in Atlanta. Her work was so incredible that she was listed among TWC’s best meteorologists by the famous magazine in Atlanta. She spent three years at The Weather Channel before she left and joined WXIA News in 2017. Delgado now appears as a freelance meteorologist for WXIA News and FOX 5 WAGA News since 2019.
