Jolyon Carlyle Palmer is a British motorsport commentator and columnist who is known for being a member of Formula One driver who formerly drove for Renault for a year. He won the 2014 GP2 Series championship which earned him a testing role with Lotus for 2015. Currently, he is working as a color commentator for F1 TV as well as appeared BBC Radio 5. Jolyon was born and raised in Horsham, England. He completed his schooling at Dorset House School and later enrolled at Cranleigh School. After that, he attended Nottingham University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Management Studies. Shortly afterward, he began his professional career in 2004 by joining MiniMax karts racers before later moving to T Cars championship’s Autumn Trophy. There he finished fifth in the championship match, with a total of 92 points, 46 behind championship winner Adrian Quaife-Hobbs.
