Julia Boorstin is an American award-winning journalist currently working as a senior media and entertainment reporter at CNBC based in Los Angeles. She joined the station’s team as a general assignment reporter in May 2006. Boorstin also creates the annual Disruptor 50 coverage and reports the Stay Tuned… The Future of TV.
Julia attended Harvard Westlake School in 1990 and completed it in 1996. After graduating from high school education, she enrolled at Princeton University and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Prior to joining CNBC, Boorstin worked for Fortune Magazine as a writer and correspondent from 2000 until May 2006. Julia went to work for CNBC.com as a media money blogger shortly after leaving Fortune Magazine. Julia also works for CNBC Business News, where she handles a variety of tasks.
