Julie Haener is an American journalist currently working at KTVU-TV as an evening news anchor. Julie’s interest in journalism was inspired by a sports caster who was their family friend.
She became more interested when he invited her and her mother to watch the evening news. After her graduation, she desperately wanted to work and started her first job in Yakima, Washington DC.
Julie worked for 12 hours everyday, shooting, writing, and editing her own stories as a one-woman band reporter. Later, she found her next job in Fresno, California. Here she worked for KJEO-TV as a weekly news anchor and health reporter.
She was then offered a job at KIRO-TV in Seattle during her honeymoon. Julie was to work as a morning anchor on weekdays. After two years, she left KIRO-TV for KTVU where he was promoted to be a weekend anchor.
Since then, she has won 7 Emmy awards. Julie attended Bellarmine High School in Tacoma. She later received her degree in journalism from the University of Washington.
