Karen Holmes Ward is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist who is the Director of Public Relations and Community Services at WCVB, as well as the host and executive producer of CityLine, WCVB’s award-winning weekly magazine program. She was inducted into the 2018 Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame, an honor bestowed on individuals for extraordinary achievements and unprecedented contributions to the Massachusetts broadcasting industry.

Karen served as Executive Producer on Return to Glory, a one-hour prime-time documentary on the historic Massachusetts 54th Regiment hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor Andre Braugher.
Return to Glory was a nationally syndicated show that aired in over 80% of the United States. Karen was a member of the team honored with a National Association of Broadcasters ‘Service to Community in Television’ Award for WCVBs community service efforts during and after the Boston Marathon bombing.
She has worked in broadcasting for over forty years, beginning as a writer at WEEI News Radio, then as News Director at WILD-Radio, where she hosted a daily one-hour talk show, and finally as a reporter at WGBH-TV.
