Kelly Crull is an American journalist who worked as a field reporter for Major League Baseball on TBS in 2022. Before this, she had been a digital and on-air contributor for the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Hawks. Furthermore, she has also worked for Sports and NBC Sports Chicago.
Born in Noblesville, Indiana, she attended Noblesville High School. While there, she played tennis and basketball. By her junior year, she released that she was unlikely to play tennis professionally. However, this did not necessarily mean the end for her and her sports. She ended up pursuing a career in sportscasting.
Kelly earned a tennis scholarship to attend the University of Missouri. There, Kelly studies broadcasting journalism. She worked for Columbia, Missouri NBC affiliate KOMU-TV, ESPN, CBS News London, and WLFI-TV during her undergraduate experience.
Later on, in August 2008, Kelly moved on to Oklahoma City ABC affiliate KOCO, where she served as the weekend sports anchor and weekday sports reporter. After some time, she joined Fox Sports San Diego in February 2013. Following the 2013 MLB season, she joined NBC Sports Chicago.
Her stay in Chicago was an amazing one. She got to cover the Chicago Cubs World Series in 2016. She also served as the Chicago Bull sideline reporter for the 2018-2019 season. Recently, she worked as a field reporter for Major League Baseball on TBS.
