Kristen Welker is a renowned American journalist working for NBC News. She currently serves as the White House correspondent based in Washington, D.C. In addition, Kristen Co-anchors the Weekend Today, the Saturday edition of Today alongside her “brother”, Peter Alexander.
She began her career at ABC affiliates WLNE-TV in Providence, Rhode Island, and KRCR-TV in Redding, California. In 2005, Kristen joined the NBC affiliate WCAU in Philadelphia working as a reporter and weekend news anchor.
Later in 2010, Welker joined NBC News as a news correspondent based at the NBC News West Coast Headquarters in Burbank, California. In 2011, she was glorified to work as an NBC White House correspondent.
Furthermore, Kristen regularly represents MSNBC at the daily White House press briefings. She has also been reporting for various programs on the channel. Occasionally, she fills in on NBC Nightly News and Today.
