Kristin Thorne is an American award-winning journalist currently working as a reporter for WABC-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News in New York. Before joining Channel 12 in January 2012, Thorne worked at News 12 Westchester. She also worked at WHTM-TV, ABC 27, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Kristin graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and earned her master’s degree in broadcast journalism from the prestigious Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
She has been recognized with numerous honors for her accounts including an Emmy Award, a territorial Edward R. Murrow Award, and a few honors from the Associated Press Broadcasters Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists. Moreover, Kristin has received five Emmy Award assignments and four Floio Awards which respect the best in Long Island news casting.
