Kristine Johnson Biography
Kristine Johnson is an American journalist who is currently working as a co-anchor at WCBS-TV in New York City at 5 and 11 pm since joining the station in November 2006. Johnson attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and minors in political science, history, and English.
After graduating, she started her career as a reporter and anchor at WPRI in Providence, Rhode Island. Later on, she joined NBC in 2005 as an anchor of the station’s Early Today and First Look on MSNBC. She was also one of the alternating news anchors on NBC’s Weekend Today.
Johnson joined WCBS-TV in November 2006 and in June 2007, Johnson and Wragge replaced Dana Tyler and Jim Rosenfield. In addition, she anchored the news during Hurricane Sandy. Furthermore, she is a recipient of two nominations for an Emmy award.
