Leslie Lowe Spokane is an American journalist who is currently working as a chief forecaster at KHQ-TV. She joined KHQ-TV in December 2008. Prior to joining her current station, she served at KXLY4 News as the weekend weather anchor where she also began her career in 2002. She worked at the station’s radio station before finding her way into television a few years later.
She attended and graduated from Central Oregon Community College in 1984. Later on, she joined the American School of Broadcast where she graduated in 2002. From here, Leslie received a Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology and Technical degree. She also enrolled at Mississippi State University where she obtained a Broadcast Meteorology. This was in 2009.
Previously, she worked as the host of “Explorer Television” at KXLY Broadcast Group. Leslie also did a half-hour program showcasing interesting and unique places to visit. Initially, she worked as a weather anchor for all of the weekend shows. It is known that she was the main weather fill-in for Chief Meteorologist and weekday morning anchor. Lowe hosted community events for organizations such as Candle Lighters. She also served as an afternoon Drive radio host for Classy 99.9 Citing her work.
Leslie also co-hosted alongside Beau Tyler on “Family Friendly” Classy 99.9. She was responsible for scheduling music for all-day parts as music director. Besides her journalism career, she worked as a flight attendant at Alaska Airlines. Moreover, she was cast in Big Fish talent as their actress.
