Lisa LaFlamme is a Canadian TV journalist and news anchor who rose to fame for working as the chief news anchor for CTV National News. She joined the station back in 2011 by replacing Lloyd Robertson after spending time as a substitute TV host for CTV National News. Lisa left CTV in 2022 after her contract was dismissed due to her business decision mindset which aimed to take the program on a totally different path from its original one. Before CTV, Lisa worked as a copywriter and script assistant for CKCO back in 1989. As of 2022, she has been making various appearances as a special correspondent for City News under Rogers Media. LaFlamme was born and raised in the upper-middle-class suburbs of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. She grew up as a very active child who enjoyed playing sports and participating in the Journalism club throughout middle school. Lisa finished her high school education at Mary’s High School and then applied for a degree at the Universty of Ottawa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism.

Lisa began her career by working as a news reporter and correspondent for CTV’s affiliate CKCO back in 1989. Her main task during that time was fulfilling her task as a copywriter and a desk assistant. Lisa eventually worked her way up to a news anchor in 1997. She made her broadcasting debut by presenting the station’s morning and news segments on CKCO.

In 2001, Lisa left CKCO and began working as a co-host on Canada AM. Lisa joined CTV in 2003 as a permanent foreign Correspondent and backup anchor for Lloyd Roberston. Her most famous news coverages during that time include covering the 2001 attacks across the world, the Afghanistan War, Hurricane Katrina, and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Lisa became the chief anchor after Lloyd Roberstosn left CTV News. She now appears as a special anchor for City News based in London.
