Elizabeth Anne Caplan is an American actress who is known for her role in the television series Freaks and Geeks. Anne become widely recognized for appearing in films like Mean Girls, Cloverfield, Related, and Party Down. She also starred in a showtime series Master of Sex, in which she earned a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Caplan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, United States. She went to school at Alexander Hamilton High School and later attended the school’s Academy of Music. While there she played piano and later decided to pursue drama. After graduating from the Academy, Elizabeth decided to focus on acting rather than attending college. In 1999, Anne landed her first role playing the role of Sara in the series Freaks and Geeks.
