Lois Thome is an American journalist working as an anchor at WINK News in Fort Myers. She joined the news team in May 1992 and has experience of over 30 years. Formerly, she worked as an anchor and reporter for WFRV and WJMN TV Inc based in Green Bay, Wisconsin Area for four years.
Additionally, she has been recognized for delivering news with both authority and passion with a heart for educational issues, and for being cool under pressure. She has won the Best News Anchor Award in South Florida, and the Quill Pen Award. Thome was awarded this by the Florida Association of School Administrators and the Woman in History Award from the American Business Women’s Association. She has also received the Phi Delta Kappa Lay Person of the Year and the Library Advocate of the Year from the Southwest Florida Library Network.
