Lorraine Kelly Biography
Lorraine Kelly is a Scottish television presenter, interviewer, and journalist. She has presented various television shows for ITV, including GMTV, This Morning, Daybreak, Good Morning Britain, The Sun Military Awards, STV Children’s Appeal, and her eponymous program, Lorraine.
As for Lorraine’s educational history and qualifications, before the family moved to East Kilbride, she spent the first few years of her life in Glasgow. She attended Claremont High School there. Then in favor of a job at the East Kilbride News, she turned down a university position to study English and Russian. Later on, in 1983, Kelly joined BBC Scotland as a writer.
As Scotland Reporter in October 1984, Kelly joined TV-am. On the back of her coverage of Pan Am Flight 103 disasters in Lockerbie, she represented a TV-am “Summer Sunday” program in July 1989 with chief reporter Geoff Meade. She then became Good Morning Britain’s lead host with Mike Morris in 1990.
By hosting a variety of shows, Lorraine helped launch GMTV. Her first mission in 1993 was to establish the latest “Top of Morning.” She then switched to Eamonn Holmes’ main show for breakfast in March. She came back to make a baby slot and mother after Kelly took maternity leave. This led her to become a “Nine O’Clock Live” host. This show was so successful that it was changed to “Lorraine Live” at 08:35 earlier in the morning.

Moreover, Lorraine’s show changed its name to LK Today with its rebranding to GMTV Today. The show eventually changed the name of GMTV with Lorraine to GMTV Today to GMTV Today. GMTV with Lorraine then started broadcasting all year round, not breaking with guest lecturers during school holidays. To make programming more compatible with GMTV. But before leaving in July 2010, she presented her last performance.
In addition, in 201o GMTV finished with ITV Breakfast. Lorraine also released Daybreak with a brand new look. She hosted the ITV series “Children’s Hospital” as well as the BBC Two series “Buzzcocks Never Mind” in series 25. Finally, Lorraine Kellys has announced that she will leave “Daybreak” to concentrate on “Lorraine.”

STV’s Childrenâ s Appeal has been hosted by Kelly with Sean Batty each year since 2011, as well as hosting STV Appeal Stories on the channel and its 2016 Friends & Lorraine Show.
Kelly held a Hogmanay Party in 2014 and 2015, which aired only before midnight and after midnight on New Year’s Eve. Instead in 2016, Kelly hosted Lorraine Kelly’s Hogmanay, but the Hogmanay Party did not proceed.
