Lynda Kinkade is an Australian award-winning journalist and news anchor who is currently serving as a news anchor for CNN, based at CNN’s World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. She started her career in 2002 at Seven Network during her second year at University as a political researcher.

In 2003, she landed a job at the New South Wales state election, soon publishing her research on each electorate. After her graduation, Kinkade started working as a roving reporter for NBN Television moving to numerous locations in New South Wales such as Newcastle, Tweed Heads, and Lismore.

In December 2004, Lynda joined Nine Network as an Assistant Chief of Staff. While still on the network, she rose to become a producer and reporter on Today, Nine Afternoon News, Nightline, and Nine News Sydney.

However, in December 2008, she resigned from Seven Network as a national correspondent for Today Tonight. In her capacity, Lynda covered the Black Saturday bush fires, and reported the Australia Open, and Logie Awards.

She also interviews various notable personalities such as the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Other celebrities include John Travolta, Rachel Griffiths, Jennifer Hawkins, and Toni Collette.

In December 2013, Lynda relocated to New York to work as a freelance foreign correspondent. Months later, she started to work as an anchor for the weekend editions of CNN Newsroom (CNNI).

In January 2015, Kinkade was confirmed to be a CNN anchor and correspondent. Currently, she broadcasts the CNN Newsroom’s weekend editions and CNN Today. Moreover, she fills in for The World Right Now and Connect the World.
