Lyndsey Gough is an American broadcast journalist currently working as a sports anchor and reporter for WKYT News based in Lexington, Kentucky. Before WKYT, Hough worked as the lead sports anchor and sports director for WTOC News which is a CNN affiliate based in Savannah, Georgia. In 2021, Lyndsey was featured in a CNN News coverage delivered by John Berman who revealed how she was diagnosed with COVID-19 and how it Ravaged her body severely that she had to be admitted to the hospital. Gough was on her death bed but her health soon stabilized and she is currently doing well.
Gough was born and brought up in the suburbs of Sturgis, Kentucky in a working-class Native American family. She grew up as a very intelligent and smart kid who always wanted to be a journalist since she was five years old. Gough finished her high school education at a private school situated in her hometown. She then enrolled at the University of Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelor of arts degree in journalism and communications in 2015.
After college, Lyndsey began her career by working as an intern for the John Calipari Pro Camps and ESPN News based in Lexington, Kentucky. She spent almost one year in Bowling Green before she was transferred to Louisville, Kentucky. Lyndsey gained credibility from her CNN affiliate viewers for covering the controversial text messages between Rick Piton and Jim Gatto over the NCAA Division 1 Men basketball corruption scandal. She also revealed that she got harassed by the crowd after the game. Lyndsey left WTOC News and joined WKYT News in the fall of 2022.
