Mark Edward Fischbach also known as Markiplier, is an American YouTuber. He is one of the most popular gaming YouTubers and was listed by Forbes as the third highest-paid content creator on the platform in 2022. In addition to that, Edward has also won four Streamy Awards and a Golden Joystick Award for “Best Streamer/Broadcaster”.
Edward was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended and graduated from Milford High School in 2007 before joining the University of Cincinnati. Markiplier was studying to become a biometrical engineer when he dropped out to pursue a career in the internet world. He created his first YouTube channel in March 2012 and uploaded his first video in April of the same year. His first series was Let’s Play of Amnesia: The Dark Descent which reached over ninety-four thousand subscribers within the year.

The channel rose to success, gaining 1 million subscribers in its first 5 days and 4.56 million in its last few minutes, and over 11.5 million video views in its first week. Within 12 hours the channel has over 1.5 million viewers, however, it was deleted in 2020 by Fischbach and Nestor.
