She anchors FOX6 News at 5 and 10 and frequently writes and reports on cutting-edge health stories for evening newscasts. Previously, Mary worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States of America.
Born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Mary earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She further earned a Master’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

After moving to Philadelphia, Mary worked at WB17 and KYW CBS 3, where she worked as the weekend evening anchor for nearly four years. During the week, she worked as a general assignment reporter, covering three states; New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
Smith covered a wide range of topics including crime, education, politics, fires, and features. Moreover, she was involved with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, participating in fundraising events and an annual Mother’s Day weekend walk at the famous Philadelphia Art Museum.
