Max Kellerman is an American sports TV personality and boxing commentator who rose for his work with ESPN until he announced his official departure on June 30, 2023. He also co-hosted other shows like ESPN’s talk Show alongside First Take alongside Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim. Max even worked as a cohost of a sports radio talk show called Max & Marcellus on ESPN La and the ESPN Panel Talk Show known as Around the Horn. Kellerman left ESPN to pursue other greater opportunities and do other projects.
Kellerman was born and raised in the suburbs of The Bronx but he grew up in the Greenwich Village area. He attended Hunter College High School and graduated back in 1991. Growing up, Max liked participating in various school projects and playing different sports from high school to college. Kellerman began his career as a broadcaster officially when he was a teenager working for a New York-based public access TV cable program known as Max on Boxing. The show was not popular but it attracted unique viewing and audiences with special appearances for upcoming boxers at that time like Mike Tyson. Max was then hired permanently to work as a sports analyst for ESPN’s boxing series Friday Night Fights after his college graduation back in early 1990.
In 2022, Max’s hard work earned his own sports segment majorly influenced by Pardon the Interruption who became the main architect and original host of ESPN’s Around the Horn. However, Max left the show after a contract disagreement and began hosting MSNBC’s show called Tucker. Eventually, Max returned to ESPN networks and worked for almost ten years before finally departing in 2023. Max is currently pursuing a new job at a popular station.
