Meg Gatto is an Edward R. Murrow award-winning American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter at FOX 8 News WVUE in Nola. She joined the station in March of 2011 and you can watch her on FOX 8 Morning Edition. Gatto is a native of the suburbs of Philadelphia, and she followed in the footsteps of her parents and moved to New Orleans to attend college. She attended Loyola University, where she received a degree in broadcast journalism.
While young, Gatto knew she wanted to become a reporter and sought out various internships and opportunities to fulfill that dream. Along the way, she created lasting relationships that have assisted her as her career advanced.
In addition, after working for two years in Harrisonburg, Gatto returned to New Orleans. During her tenure there, she covered various high-profile stories like the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, the BP oil spill, the Danziger Bridge trial, and multiple hurricanes.
