She joined the station back in 2013 after completing a five-year tenure working as a multimedia journalist for KPTM News based in Omaha, Nebraska. McRoberts even worked for WVUA News as an intern. Her most popular news reports on WPTV News include covering presidential debates, the latest breaking news, natural disasters and the Iowa Caucus.
McRoberts was born and raised in the small suburbs of Marietta, Georgia. She grew up as a very introverted girl who always had a passion for news reporting from a very young age. McRoberts finished her high school education in her hometown. She then enrolled at the University of Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications and Broadcast Journalism with minors in Spanish back in 2010.
