Melissa Anne Villaseñor is an American stand-up comedian, actress, impressionist, writer, musician, and artist. Anne gained famous for her stand-up shows and impressions after being employed as cast in the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live ahead of the show’s 42nd season in 2016. She then departed SNL at the end of the 47th season in 2022, after six seasons as a cast member.
Born and raised in Whittier, California, United States. Anne attended the Catholic Ramona Convent Secondary School in Alhambra, California. she started performing stand-up comedy at the Laugh Factory Comedy Camp in Hollywood at an age of 15. Melissa furthered her education at Fullerton College in Fullerton, California where she graduated with a degree. Villaseñor made a name for herself on America’s Got Talent season six after doing an impression and one of her most popular YouTube videos “Melissa Villasenor’s Impressions!” earned more than 1 million views after it was posted in January 2011.
Prior to this, she was part of the New Faces lineup at 2010 Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival. On top of that, Villaseñor was featured in a popular series comedian called Cars Getting Coffee. In October 2019, she released her debut album, Dreamer, a pop-punk/power pop-influenced work.
