Michael Landsberg Biography
Michael Elliott Landsberg is a Canadian sports journalist and the former host of TSNs, First Up with Landsberg, and Colaiacovo. Previously, Landsberg worked as the host of TSN’s Off the Record with Michael Landsberg from 1997 to 2015. Prior, he was an ambassador for Bell Let’s Talk and the founder of #SickNotWeak, a charity organization.
Landsberg was born and brought up in Canada. He earned his degree from Forest Hill Collegiate Institute. Elliott started his national career as an anchor on SportsDesk on TSN in 1984. While there, he broadcasted more than 5,000 episodes before joining TSN’s 30-minute. At TSN’s 30, Michael hosted the daily sports debate program Off the Record from 1997 to 2015. The program is one of Canada’s longest-running talk shows and he become one of the most trusted sports voices in Canada.
Formerly, Micheal co-hosted TSN 1050’s Naylor & Landsberg in the Morning and also hosted TSN’s First Up show alongside former Toronto Maple Leaf player Carlo Colaiacovo. Throughout his career, Landsberg has covered major sports events including skating at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and Olympic Daytime on CTV during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. In his free time, Landsberg likes to work out in the gym four times a week and enjoys skiing, sailing, and coaching his son’s roller hockey team.
