Michael Smerconish Biography
Michael Smerconish is a renowned American radio host and television presenter, political commentator, author, newspaper columnist, and lawyer. He is the host of the weekly Saturday Tv program on CNN known as “Smerconish” at 9:00 a.m. ET.
Moreover, he is the host of The Michael Smerconish Program on weekdays at 9:00 a.m. ET on SiriusXM’s POTUS Channel 124, a radio program heard exclusively since 2013. Michael is also a Sunday newspaper columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Previously, Smerconish was nationally syndicated in over 100 markets on terrestrial radio, after a successful period as a morning drive host for CBS in Philadelphia. His CNN program made its debut in 2014. The Smerconish program airs on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am EST, also, he appears on a regular basis as a guest on other CNN programming.
In addition, he is the author of seven books: one novel and six non-fiction works. Two of his books are New York Times bestsellers, and his novel TALK! was optioned by Warner Brothers for television. His latest book is Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right: American Life in Columns. The book compiles 100 newspaper columns, each with a contemporary afterword, pulled from the 1,047 commentaries he published in the Sunday Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News in the first 15 years following 9/11. The book compelled to rise to a speaking tour called “American Life in Columns,” featuring the author giving stories from the book with live audiences in two dozen small theatres across America.

When the Corona pandemic hit in March of 2020, Michael was about to begin a new tour known as “Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Talking,” a one-man show celebrating his 30th anniversary on talk radio. Moreover, a taped style of the show was aired globally as a one-hour CNN special on July 11, 2020. The full show was set to be released on December 8, 2020, by Virgil Films on VOM and DVD.
Similarly, Smerconish is also an attorney who, at the age of 29, served in the Administration of President George Herbert Walker Bush.
