Michael Strahan is an American actor, producer, television personality, and Football player who has previously played forNew York Giants as a defensive linesman for 15 years. He is the Fox NFL Sunday football analyst as well as the co-host of ABC’s Good Morning America. Between 2012 and 2016, Michael co-hosted the syndicated talk show Live! with Kelly and Michael alongside Kelly Ripa.
When he was just 9 years of age, his family relocated to an army post, Benjamin Franklin Village, in Mannheim, West Germany. He joined Mannheim American High School, a United States Department of Defence Dependent School in Mannheim, Germany. It is while there that he started playing American football. In 1985, he played for the Mannheim Redskins as a defender.

Over the next decade, Michael proved to be a veteran defensive player for the Giants. However, his career ended on a high note. After Strahan’s retirement, he returned to the Giants for the 2007 season. The same year, Michael along with quarterback Eli Manning led the club to its first Super Bowl victory in nearly two decades, with an upset win over Tom Brady and the undefeated New England Patriots in the championship game.
After the big win, Michael announced his retirement from football. “I just hope people can say he was a great defensive end, he helped us win, he’s a motivator, he’s a team leader,” Strahan told reporters. “And you’re going to miss me when I leave.”
