Molly McCann is a well-known England mixed martial artist who is currently competing in the women’s flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She is also a former Cage Warriors Flyweight Champion. McCann made her UFC debut in May 2018 against Gillian Robertson. During the match, she emerged as the winner before later signing a new contract with the UFC for four years. Four months later, she won the match via unanimous decision against Diana Belbiţă at UFC on ESPN 6. In the following years, she was expected to face Ashlee Evans-Smith at UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Edwards however the match was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, Molly was defeated by Taila Santos via a unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN: Kattar vs. Ige. In 2021, she fought against Ji Yeon Kim and emerged as the winner. She also won herself a Night bonus and later after she faced Luana Carolina at UFC Fight Night 204. In the three rounds of the fight, McCann emerged as the winner and again received a Night bonus.
Prior to that, Molly also won the match against Hannah Goldy at UFC Fight Night 208 in July 2022. In the following match, she was defeated by Erin Blanchfield through a kimura submission in the first round. This year, McCann is scheduled to face Julija Stoliarenko at UFC on ESPN 49 on July 22.
