Nick Wright Biography
Nick Wright is an American personality on sports television and talk show host for sports radio. Wright is currently working with Jenna Wolfe, Kevin Wildes, and former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall as a co-host on Fox Sports 1’s First Things First.
Wright started his career in sports broadcasting from the news channel of Radio Kansas city, KCSP 610 AM, after graduating from Syracuse. In the early days of his career, he served on the weekend program. After displaying his skills, he was given an opportunity on the channel to begin his own series, “What’s Right With Wright.”
During that time, Nick also worked on Radio Kansas City and was a host for WAER 88.3 FM which was known as the Double Overtime segment. He quit KSCP and his main job was on the morning drive show to join KILT 610 AM. He worked there for four years and, along with being the co-host of the shoe,’ The Hard with Colin Cowher’, he was hired by Fox Sports as their news Sportscaster.
In the loop with Nick and Lopez, Nick also hosted the drive show for the morning while working on KILT 610 AM. He also became known for debating social issues, including subjects related to race in and outside the sports context.
Then-Fox Sports executive Jamie Horowitz used the co-hosting venture of Carter and Wright to check their chemistry in order to test their ability to co-host a daily morning sports talk show on FS1. The early morning block at the time, according to the Sporting News, was a black hole for FS1, which was used to play and run shows.
