Orlando Soria is a famous American interior designer, artist, and writer based in Los Angeles. He is well-known for his appearances on HGTV’s Secrets of a Stylist. Currently, he is a blogger at Hommemaker.com since December 2020. He is the founder of Hommemaker, a site for men’s style, interior decoration, and gay culture.

After graduating, Soria moved to Los Angeles where he first began his career in music videos and independent films. He made his on-screen debut in 2010 on HGTV’s show as Emily Henderson’s assistant in Secrets from a Stylist. The show ended in 2011 after airing 26 episodes with season 2.

Thereafter, Soria started his television show “Unspouse My House” which premiered on June 6, 2019. In addition, he was featured on another show called “Build Me Up”. He works with homeowners as they champion big life changes by renovating their homes to create the fresh beginning they deserve in HGTV.

From May 2001 for about 4 months, Orland was a Community Programs Intern at the Los Angeles Community Design Center where he designed, developed, and instructed an art program for children ages 5-13 at subsidized housing facilities in three different Los Angeles locations. He joined the Fresh Air Fund in May 2002 as a Field Intern facilitating the matching of inner-city children with families in rural areas to provide youth with the opportunity to experience new surroundings and educational excursions.

In May 2003, Orlando landed at American United as a Community Outreach Intern for four months. There, he worked as a publicist for a not-for-profit organization. Moreover, he developed relationships with constituents in many states to facilitate the establishment of additional Americans United chapters. Soria also networked with industry colleagues at events such as CMJ and collaborated with a team of publicists to develop marketing strategies for the artists represented by Fanatic.

Soria also worked as a Wholesale Manager at Jonathan Wright and Company for a year and five months since July 2007. He later joined Last Bastion Entertainment as a Set decorator in June 2009 for three months. For two months since September 2009, Orlando was an Art Director at ODD Entertainment. Additionally, he has also been a Production Designer at Fine Young Man Productions for two months since April 2010 and Slow Donkey Productions since March 2010.

Jumping to May 2010, Orlando worked as an Assistant Art Director at Present Pictures in  Los Angeles, Northridge, California for two months. Surprisingly, he also worked at The Walt Disney Company for a month in April 2010 and later joined HGTV as a Design Assistant to Emily Henderson on “Secrets From A Stylist.” He worked on the show from October 2010 to October 2011.
