Rachel McNeill Biography
Rachel McNeill is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist currently working as the anchor for Today in AZ weekday mornings from 4:30–7 a.m. as well as the Today in AZ Facebook Live After Show at 7:30 a.m. In addition, she contributes across all 12 news shows and platforms. She joined the 12 News team in April 2019.
Previously, she worked at KPRC 2, the Houston NBC affiliate, where she anchored and reported for over 17 years. Before that, McNeill worked at stations in New Orleans, North Carolina, Raleigh, Louisiana, and Midland, Texas. Rachel joined the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her degree in Broadcast Journalism.
In her career, McNeill has covered everything from the 2013 Presidential Inauguration and the Newton School shootings to the Sochi and Rio Olympic Games.
In addition, Rachel is committed to community service and volunteers her time with at-risk youth, and also works closely with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Dress for Success.
