Sandra Sully is an Australian news presenter and journalist and editor for 10 News First in Sydney and Queensland. She is also an actress who is known for roles in movies such as Backyard Ashes (2013), Quick Ones (2000), and Big Sky (1997).
Born and raised in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Sully attended Brisbane State High School where she graduated in 1978. She joined the Network Ten news team in 1991 when she worked at the network’s parliamentary bureau in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. Sully was the first Australian television journalist to cover news of the 11 September terrorist attacks. She was broadcasting when the initial incident took place and started providing live-breaking coverage immediately after. Moreover, Sandra also hosted Cool Aid Australia”s National Carbon Test.
Additionally, she served as the first female co-host of the Melbourne Cup program for seven years. Also, Sully presents Network Ten’s Ten Eyewitness News Sydney alongside Hugh Riminton. She together with her fellow journalist began a program titled new police crime, where she does interviews with victims’ loved ones to appeal to the public to help solve the case by calling Crimestoppers.

As part of a revamp of the 10 News First brand, Sully has also been presenting the Queensland bulletin since September 2020, which is produced in Sydney. She also hosted the Ten’s primary Sydney 5:00 pm weekday bulletin. Prior, she presented 10 News First Sydney in 2018.
In her career as a journalist, Sully has covered major events such as the Royal Wedding coverage from London, and Oprah Winfrey’s ‘O’ event at the Botanical Gardens. She also reported the story of the Senior Editor of TEN Late News with Sport Tonight and the Federal Budget. Prior to this, Sandra covered the 1994 Commonwealth Games and the 1996 Summer Olympic Games among other events.
