Selina Wang is an American journalist who is currently working as an international correspondent for CNN based in Asia. She is responsible for reporting on key stories from the Asia-Pacific region for CNN’s television and digital platforms. Wang is also a host of CNN’s long-form feature program, ‘Marketplace Asia’.
Following her education, she graduated from Havard University with an economics degree and a secondary degree in government. While at the university, she was in the top 5 percent of her class and was awarded the Detur Book Prize.
Prior to joining her current station, she was a correspondent for Bloomberg TV based in Beijing. She was also based in San Francisco covering the global technology industry and also reported across Bloomberg’s platforms in New York and Hong Kong.
Selina was pivotal to CNN’s coverage of the Tokyo Olympics. In addition, she reported extensively on the challenges Japan faced hosting the Games during the pandemic.
