Simone Rivera is an American celebrity daughter who is famous for being the daughter of Geraldo Rivera. Geraldo is a Puerto Rican-American reporter, attorney, author, and former television host.
A New York City native, Cruickshank graduated from The Spence School. Later on, she enrolled at Northwestern University in Chicago in 2013 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences. During her studies, she was part of the Phi Beta Kappa sorority, while also doing volunteer work at the Alma Mater Charter School.
She also took up various jobs and internship roles, such as a sailing instructor at Tabor Academy in 2013. In 2014, she was a summer assistant at Fox News from June to July. She was also a research assistant at Harvard University from July to September. From June 2015 to June 2016, she worked as a research assistant at the American Bar Foundation.
At the American Bar Foundation, she co-authored a white paper on trends in immigration, economic attainment, economic vitality, and political participation for Latinos in the Midwest titled: Latinos by the Numbers. During her senior year at Northwestern, she was a Farrell Fellow research assistant at her university. She developed an extensive report on the economic and organizational structure of the African Union Mission in Somalia. Most notably, in 2017, she achieved her goal of getting a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Political Science and Legal Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude at the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.
She made her first significant foray into the professional world that same month by taking up a position as a trial preparation assistant at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in New York. On top of that, she managed case schedules and coordinated with law enforcement officials, witnesses, court staff, and defense counsels.
However, in 2019, she decided to go back to school by enrolling at Yale Law School. She became a features editor at the Yale Journal of International Law, and the VP of communications at the National Security Group. In May 2020, she started as a research assistant at Yale Law School, for Professor George Priest.
Most notably, her job was conducting research for his forthcoming book, The Political Order and the Market Order, with a focus on the United States’ underground economy. In June 2020, Cruickshank also took up a summer legal intern position at the United States Department of Defense, with the Office of Military Commissions in the Office of the Chief Prosecutor. Cruickshank is due to receive her Yale degree in the class of 2022.
